This article details the gassing procedure for rooms that are using automation.

How do I know if automation is enabled?

Rooms with automation enabled will show a star icon in the upper right from the main dashboard.

On the room page, the same icon will show next to the room name with "Automation enabled" next to it.

How does gassing work with automation?

Please complete these steps to prepare for gassing:

1. Load the room and ensure that all temp probes are in the fruit

2. Within the Strella app, complete Receiving QC, set the stage goal, and set the target date.

2. Fill the generator with the appropriate volume of concentrate for a 24 hour application

3. Close and lock the room

4. From the room control, tap on the Gas option

5. In gas settings, select Auto under Gas mode and set the Gas at Temp to 60° F

Note: Some facilities may use a different reference temp. Please confirm the reference temp with your Strella Account Manager

What happens next:

The Strella system will run the room through its cycle, warming the room when gassing is needed. Once the pulp temp reaches 60° F, gassing will begin . The Strella app will automatically update the the Gas Status to on based on the ethylene measurements. The Gas Status will revert to off after 24 hours.

After gassing, please resume Daily QC in accordance with your regular schedule. Messages will appear on the main dashboard when Daily QC is due.
